Betty Bunny

Julia came home from school yesterday beaming over her latest choice of Media book.  Apparently this book is such a hotly coveted item that Julia had to squeeze her name down at the very bottom of a long wait list, and, at last, it was her turn to check it out.  This book, one in the Betty Bunny series, is about Betty Bunny's first experience with chocolate cake, after which she became a hard-core chocolate cake addict:

And you know Julia.  Not satisfied enough with just reading this book, she had to create her OWN Betty Bunny book, all about Betty Bunny's first taste of donuts:

Julia's version basically follows the plot and dialogue of the chocolate cake book, although she included a few creative differences.  For instance, while in the original book Betty Bunny carries her piece of chocolate cake in her pocket all day, only to find it smooshed by dessert time, in Julia's version, Betty's donut falls out of her desk at school and Betty sits on it.  Her big brother Bill just can't believe what a mess Betty got herself into:
I can't bullev it either, Bill.  A desk is definitely no place to poot a donnte.

Julia also cranked out another book of poems, featuring such exciting titles as:
"Ripd."  A stunning mystery of a poem, in which the narrator tries to uncover WHO exactly ripd her homewrck, her book, and her EVERYTHING.

Julia's poem book also features this play-on-numbers poem entitled:
"One Tow Three"

Man, she is just knocking 'em out of the park lately.  Are these poems gonna be best-sellers of WHAT?

In other news, Madeleine informed me today that she knows how to speak in a different language, known as "Grief."  Curious as to what the Grief language sounds like?  In the video below, you can hear the language spoken by none other than Madeleine herself:

And finally, while the book has yet to be written, keep your eyes out for the latest in the Betty Bunny series, advertised on the back of "Betty Bunny Loves Donntes":

"Betty Bunny Merrys Her Dad."  Guaranteed to be an incestuous romp of a good time!  Coming soon!
