Pretend Play

This afternoon, in the middle of a flute lesson that I was giving to Julia, Madeleine decided to engage in some wordless pretend play in the room we were in.  As you can see, this was not distracting AT ALL:

I still don't even know what the heck was happening in her pretend play world.  Baseball cap: check.  Sunglasses: check.  Empty egg carton: check.  Somehow those three items add up to something amazing in Madeleine's mind.

  1. Even though she doesn't play the flute, she somehow included herself in the lesson!
