Tablets, Tablets, Tablets

The girls are delighted to see their aunties today, both of whom are in town for a Boston visit.  And because they love their aunties so much, the girls literally eschewed any sort of "hello" in order to demand, "Can I play on your tablet?" the moment their aunties walked in the door.

Yes, the beloved IPad Mini and Samsung tablets belonging to Aunties Caitlyn and Shannon.  The kids have spent many a holiday, concert, family get-together, or church service completely engrossed in one of the tablet games, ignoring all else around them.

At any rate, the girls have been in Tablet Heaven today, busy playing games like "Prom Night" and "Bubble Bath."  Perhaps the MOST fun we all had today, however, was fiddling around with a hairstyle application on Auntie Caitlyn's computer.  We Rowe girls all took turns trying out different looks, and here are some of our favorites:

Julia goes for a short 'do with layered side bangs.  And she's rockin' it.  Totes.

Madeleine goes for the same style, but leaves her own natural curls and length in a layer underneath, giving her a fun bit of mullet going on.

Madeleine takes on white hair with swooping curls and side bangs.  I can't quite say she pulls off the white-haired look, however, because there's WAY too much baby face in those cheeks of hers.  I mean, maybe she could pass for four, but definitely not four-and-forty.

Here, Madeleine decided to relax the swooping curls and cut the bangs into a long fringe.  Possibly the best of the possible hairstyles for her, I'm still not buying the natural-gray-white hair look with those little baby cheeks.


Now, be prepared for the STUNNER OF ALL STUNNERS: look at me pulling off a short crop-do.  Ow ow!  Look out, boys, there's one HOT MAMA in town!

(Thankfully I have no plans to go short at any point in my hair's life.)
